Themes for Parties in December
December is the first month of winter if you live in the northern hemisphere and that in itself is reason to celebrate. You could have a Frozen party, a Welcome Winter party theme or a Let It Snow party.

If you’re a Game of Thrones fan you could have a Winter is Coming party. Theme it up with some awesome Game of Thrones party decorations.

December Birthday Ideas
People that celebrate their birthday in December have either the star sign of Sagittarius (1 – 21 December) or Capricorn (22 – 31 December). You could have a Sagittarius themed party celebrating that special Sagittarian in your life. Likewise if you’re celebrating that special Capricorn you could have a Capricorn themed party.

Time Travel Party
Pretend to be a Time Traveller Day (8 December)
A Time Travellers party would make a great theme for a New Years Eve Party. Set up a Tardis or a time travel vortex for when guests enter the front door. Decorate the party area with old clocks all set to a different time. You can reference certain movies or TV shows if you prefer…think Back to the Future, or Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure, 11/22/63 or even Dr Who.

Have a Gingerbread decorating party. Decorate some gingerbread men with the kids and their friends or if you’re feeling brave get together and decorate some amazing gingerbread houses.
Now if you’re feeling a little overwhelmed about where to start you can use gingerbread house cutters to get you the right dimensions. That way everyone is decorating a similar size house and it makes it quick and easy. After all the design of the structure of the house is the hardest bit really. The decorating is the fun bit. You can be as creative as you like.

This might be a good party to plan for after Christmas but nevertheless it’s a great way to find new homes for unwanted gifts. You could plan to have some gift swapping games to break the ice or lay them all out on a table for people to unwrap and enjoy.

A fun party tradition for the holiday season. Just find yourself an awesomely ugly, ugly sweater and wear it with pride.

I honestly don’t know if I can go a month without mentioning some type of Mexican party theme so here is December’s! It’s a yes from me for a Sangria party. Set up a Sangria Bar, serve some easy Mexican finger food and enjoy!
Board Game Party
Games Day (20 December)
Board Game Parties are a great party theme and are especially awesome if you are getting together people that may not know each other well. Board games are a great ice-breaker (Hello Twister!) but if you can have tamer games too to help people socialize. It’s also a great theme for a family party to get everyone talking. It’s also Card Playing Day on 28 December so add some Uno into the mix to get people laughing. So many board games to choose from, so little time.
