3. Salted Caramel Apple Bars

¼ cup light brown sugar
1 cup flour
Filling
2 Granny Smith apples
2 tablespoons flour
2 tablespoons sugar
½ teaspoon cinnamon
Sprinkle of nutmeg

Next, peel and thinly slice apples, add to a bowl, and carefully mix with sugar, flour, and spices. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, brown sugar, oats, and butter (don’t be afraid to use your hands!) to create a crumbly streusel topping. Layer apple filling over the crust and top with streusel. Bake for 30–40 minutes until the topping is golden brown, then cool. Drizzle with caramel sauce and sprinkle on sea salt for the finishing touch.

INGREDIENTS:
3 pounds turkey breast
2 tablespoons butter
½ pound sausage
½ diced onion
½ cup diced celery
1 teaspoons rosemary (finely minced)
1 tablespoon sage
½ cup dried cranberries

Heat a large pan over medium heat and add 1 tablespoon butter. Add sausage until browned and fully cooked, then set aside. Sauté onion and celery in pan for 4 minutes or until soft. Return sausage to skillet and also mix in rosemary, sage, cranberries, egg, and cornbread. Pour chicken stock over mixture and combine. Allow stuffing to cool about 10 minutes before handling. Spread stuffing over flattened turkey breast, then tightly roll up into a cylindrical shape and secure with kitchen twine. Rub remaining butter over turkey and season with salt and pepper. Place turkey onto a nonstick baking sheet and bake until turkey reaches 165°F, about 45–50 minutes. Let sit, then slice into rounds and serve.
