Anna Kendrick is an American actress and singer. She's the voice actress of Poppy in Trolls, Trolls World Tour, and Trolls Band Together.

Anna Kendrick was born on August 9, 1985, in Portland, Maine to parents Janice Kendrick andWilliam Kendrick.
Kendrick started her career as a child in theather productions. She received a Tony Award nomination for her work in the Broadway musicalHigh Societyin 1998, and then made her film debut in 2003'sCamp.
Before Trolls, Kendrick had starred in other musicals such as Pitch Perfect and Into the Woods. The latter also had James Corden and Christine Baranski. She had starred in the animated film ParaNorman as Courtney Babco*ck as well.

- Poppy's design was partly inspired by Kendrick, even before she was casted.
- Kendrick admitted that Poppy is a bit of her opposite, so she thought it was fun to explore the regions of constant optimism.
- Kendrick also said that she and Poppy are both known to sometimes randomly burst into song, but unlike Poppy, she tries to stop it in public.
- In contrast to Poppy, Kendrick said that she doesn't like hugs very much, and would feel awkward when hugged by cast members.
