While you do not have to plan your party indoors, sometimes you have no choice.
When the weather is cold or there is rain outside, throwing an indoor party may seem like a good idea.

What you should know is that beach parties do not have to have a beach to happen.

You really need your imagination along with some ingenuity.
That imagination and ingenuity should be beach themed however.

You do not have to be on the beach or be near water to throw a fun beach party.
Instead, focus on the impression of being on the beach.

How to make a beach party at home that is fun too!

1. Start by giving out invitations that are beach themed. You can find beach themed invitations here.
2. Plan a beach themed décor with inflatable beach items such as palm trees.
3. A beach themed backdrop can offer a fun reminder along with a great location for photo taking! You can possibly make it look like you are at the beach in the photo!
4. A small pool in the backyard on a warm day is a reminder of water. Indoors, that pool can be filled with inflatable beach balls.
5. Serve beach themed beverages such as blue kool-aid. Adults can make this boozy by adding a bit of vodka.
6. Beach wearables such as beach themed necklaces can make things fun too!
7. Remind everyone to wear a swimsuit or beach themed clothing such as a tee shirt.
8. Beach Towels or beach mats give everyone something to sit on.
9. Serve beachy food such as hot dogs, s'mores, or salt water taffy.

How to make Beach Themed Cupcakes

Serve the tasty cupcakes at your beach themed party!
You can use already baked cupcakes or bake some fresh yourself.

Ingredients needed to make Beach Cupcakes

• Yellow Cupcakes- 12 already baked. You can purchase these cupcakes already made or make them yourself using yellow cake mix.
• Gold and blue sanding sugar.
• White and gold pearl sugar decorations.
• White and blue frosting tubes.
• Edible Sugar shell decorations.
• Edible Ocean animal sugar decorations.
• Paper drink/craft umbrellas.

How to make beach themed cupcakes.

1. Bake the cupcakes as directed on the packaging. Allow them to cool before decorating.
2. Gently and lightly mix blue and white frosting together to create an ocean water look
3. Pipe a thin base of white frosting on each cupcake.
4. For beach only looks dip cupcake upside down in blue or gold sanding sugar
5. Place desired sugar decorations on top.
6. Add umbrella if desired.
7. For ½ beach ½ ocean looks dip only half of the cupcake in sanding sugar. Next add a dollop of blue & white ocean frosting to the other half of the cupcake. Use a small round flat instrument ( I used a decorating knife but a butter knife is perfect as well ) to create waves in the frosting.
