Is there really 221184 ways to have a Whopper? ›

This claim was later expanded to There are 221,184 possible ways for a customer to order a Whopper sandwich. Other slogans include It takes two hands to handle a Whopper and Burger King: Home of the Whopper. Where's Herb? was an advertising campaign for the sandwich from 1985 to 1986 designed by J. Walter Thompson.

The sandwich, which features a choice of meat (bacon, sausage or Black Forest ham), egg and cheese on a croissant, has a staple of the BK menu since 1983. The Verdict

The Big Mac was at a major disadvantage in this taste test because of the overpowering amount of special sauce. But even if there was less sauce on my Big Mac, it still wouldn't have won. McDonald's dry, small patties are simply no match for the flavorful and juicy grilled patties that Burger King uses.
