Here is all you need to know about where to find the Mystical Heirloom and what rewards you will get from defeating the Trolls.

Where To Find The Mystical Heirloom

God Of War Ragnarok: Mystical Heirloom Troll Location Guide (1)

Mystical Heirloom is a Relic located in Midgard that you can acquire after the main story mission, "Forging Destiny." This is because you will need the Draupnir Spear to break the Ice blocking your path.

Once you break the Ice, climb up and grab the Relic up ahead. The information will not say much, but this is all that you need in order to defeat the Trolls.

Where To Find Troll Statues

God Of War Ragnarok: Mystical Heirloom Troll Location Guide (4)

There are four Troll statues located throughout the nine realms that you have to wake up from the Stone Slumber. The fight against the Trolls are quite easy due to their slow and limited moveset.

Try to dodge most of their attacks, as this will allow you to get behind them and focus on counter-attacking.

Midgard

The first Troll statue is located in The Derelict Outpost that you explore during the Favor "Sigrun's Curse." Upon reaching the statue, you can find a Lore Tablet near it; interact with it and Mimir will tell you that a Relic can be used to wake up the Trolls. Approach the statue and use your Mystical Heirloom Relic, which will initiate the fight with the Troll.

Vanaheim

The second and third Troll statues are located in Noatun's Garden. Make your way from the Cliffside Ruins Mystic Gateway and row your boat to the Garden. Once you reach the location, you will see two statues near the entrance of the building. Use your Relic to wake them up and fight them.

This fight might be the most challenging because it is a duo fight. One of the Trolls takes more damage from your Blades of Chaos, while the other takes more damage from your Leviathan Axe. Try to deal with one Troll at a time, taking it out so that you do not have to deal with two at once.

Alfheim

For the last Troll, you need to make your way to The Forbidden Sands in Alfheim. To unlock this area of Alfheim, you need to complete the main story mission, "The Reckoning," and you will be able to translate the Rune Slate. This fight is quite easy as you have to focus on dodging most of his attacks that are quite slow.

Strategy

God Of War Ragnarok: Mystical Heirloom Troll Location Guide (8)

All of the Trolls share the same limited moveset. A ground stomp and the swirling pillar are the most used attacks the boss will use. These attacks are easy to avoid as they have easy-to-tell telegraphs and are quite slow. Despite the slow-timed attacks, they do deal quite some damage and can be quite tanky.

If you are fighting these bosses in the late game, a good armor set you can equip is the Berserker armor set. The chest massively increases your Relic damage at the cost of increasing damage received. The wrist and waist have a low Luck of causing Soul Explosion on successful hits, which can restore Cooldown for the Relic as well as dealing damage to the enemy.

For Relic options, you can go for Hilt of Skofnung if you defeated King Hrolf. If you have not, then another good option to use is the Hilt of Hofud. The Hilt of Hofud allows you to slow down time, allowing you to use multiple Runic Attacks and stacking up the elemental effect on the boss.

For the Runic Attacks, you can go for Njord's Tempest and Breath of Thamur for the Leviathan Axe. Both of these have great damage and Frost output. A few extra hits from your Axe can max the Frost effect and take out a huge chunk of the boss' health. For the Blades of Chaos, you can equip the Rampage of the Furies and the Neman Crush, both of which focus on one target and can inflict Burn effect relatively quicker. For the Draupnir Spear, Thrust of a Thousand Soldiers and The Finger of Ruin are great options as they apply great force and can stagger the boss during the animations.

Your main focus is to land your Runic Attacks in between the attacks the boss throws at you. If you chain your Runic Attacks together you might be able to take out more than half of their health bar before they can even react. The Relic on itself will deal massive damage to the boss primarily because of the Chest passive.

Rewards

After defeating a Troll, you will get Slumber Stone which is required to craft the SteinbjornArmor. After defeating all the Trolls, you can craft the whole set. Defeating Golrab of the Frost and Ashes in the Noatun's Garden will get you the Momentous Stride (Amulet Enchantment). Equipping the Gauntlets and Waist Guards will grant a "Moderate Luck chance to stagger and inflict stun damage to nearby enemies when damage is taken." If you equip the Chest Armor, you will get the effect "After significant damage is taken, Kratos' attacks will restore some lost Health for a time."

The Armor Set is the tankiest armor in the game. This gear allows you to take damage, but your damage output will be considerably lowered compared to other armor.
