Vanaheim Slumbering Troll - Golrab of the Ashes and Frost - God of War Ragnarok Guide - IGN (2024)

Not one, but two slumbering Trolls await you on the eastern river path along the river delta, east of the Cliffside Ruins and Pilgrim's Landing at Noatun's Garden (which you should clear of poison spreading hazards first).

  • Location: Noatun's Garden, Vanaheim

Fighting two trolls will be quite a challenge, as in addition to trying to blind you, one will be imbued with frost, and the other with flame – and trying to use a weapon with the same effect will be negated and hit you with a freezing or burning status.

Defeating both of them will yield more Slumber Stone, as well as the mighty Momentous Stride Enchantment, powering your Permafrost, Immolation, and Malestrom gauges when dodging at the last moment.

Fun Fact: the two Trolls, known as Golrab of the Frost and Flame, have an interesting name - Spelled backwards, their name is Barlog - as in Cory Barlog, the lead director of the previous God of War game, and the creative director and producer of Ragnarok!
