How do you complete the True Colors assessment? ›

Do NOT analyze each word; just get a sense of each box. Score each of the four boxes in each row from most to least as it describes you: 4 = most, 3 = a lot, 2 = somewhat, 1 = least. If any of the scores in the colored boxes are less than 5 or greater than 20 you have made an error.

Four Harmonious Pairings. The best color pairings, according to Erikson, are Red-Blue, Green-Yellow, Blue-Green, and Red-Yellow.

Swiss psychologist Carl Jung built on the work of Hippocrates and defined the four temperaments in terms of colors: Cool Blue, Earth Green, Sunshine Yellow and Fiery Red. Everyone has all of the color energies in their personality, to differing degrees.

Those with Green color personality strengths tend to be perfectionistic, analytical, conceptual, cool, calm, inventive and logical. They seek knowledge and understanding as well as always looking for explanations and answers. Greens can be good researchers – looking for facts and asking lots of questions.

Those with Blue color personality strengths tend to be enthusiastic, sympathetic, communicative, compassionate, idealistic, sincere and imaginative. They care and want to contribute to everything they are a part of. Relationships are important to blues.

Those with Orange color personality strengths tend to be witty, spontaneous, generous, optimistic, eager and bold. They need fun, variety, stimulation and excitement. Freedom to act is also important to an Orange. Oranges have energy and like to bounce around to different projects or tasks.

Their weaknesses include an over-personalization of organizational problems and their tendency to carry grudges. ▶ Their strengths include their ability to think systematically and strategically.

Greens don't tend to talk for the sake of it and can often be slow to embrace change. Roles that involve listening and understanding others such as Account Management, HR and Product Management may be good areas to research as a Green beginning their career.

Gold is said to represent authenticity, dependability, and tradition. Golds may desire structure, unity, and organization to thrive. A lack of order could make this individual feel worried or unstable. Golds often value integrity and responsibility and might prove to be trustworthy friends and reliable employees.

To measure color, a color measurement device called a spectrophotometer shines light onto a sample and captures the amount of light that is transmitted or reflected in the 380 nm to 780 nm wavelength range, which is the wavelength range visible to the human eye.

To view the true color of an object, we must illuminate it with a light source that includes all the wavelengths that the object will reflect. For example, if a light source only emits a partial range of wavelengths, an object's true color may not be visible.
